The Ocean County Sheriff's Office released a 911 call from the incident on Adams Avenue. In that call, a Seaside Park Class II officer can be heard talking to a dispatcher.
“I don't know him, I just found him. I'm a Seaside Park Class II (officer). Picking up coffee at QuickChek. I need EMS here," the officer said in the call.
The officer told dispatch that the 31-year-old male victim was stabbed in his upper left chest area, breathing and awake.
A witness tells News 12 they heard what sounded like a single gunshot. Investigators have not commented on the possible shooting in addition to the stabbing.
