Eight people were arrested Tuesday in Nassau County after a Nassau County police investigation into alleged prostitution and illegal massage operations at four spa locations in Hicksville and Plainview.

According to police, Yanzhu Ma, of Flushing, was arrested at Sofia Spa in Hicksville and charged with prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession.

Also arrested were Noralba Alvarez, of Elmhurst, who was charged with prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession; and Sufeng Yue, of Flushing, who was charged with prostitution at K & R Spa in Hicksville.

Alejandrina Vigniero Batista, of Plainview, and Minying Xin, of Jericho, were each charged with prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession.

At Serenity Foot Spa in Hicksville, Suxia Jie, of Oakland Gardens, was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession. Liu Zhongfeng and Junge Zhange, both of Flushing, were also charged with unauthorized practice of a profession.

All eight individuals were released on appearance tickets.
