A collision on Ocean State Parkway temporarily shut down westbound lanes on Thursday.

State troopers say they received a call around 4:30 p.m. for a two-vehicle collision with injuries. News 12 was on scene and observed three cars with damage.

Traffic was diverted because of the crash for about two hours.

An officer on scene told News 12 that one person was taken to the hospital by helicopter and another was taken by ambulance.
