Two people had to be rescued from the waters on Nassau’s south shore on Sunday evening.
Nassau police received the 911 call around 6 p.m. for an overturned jet ski near Great Island Channel in Seaford.
Upon arrival, Marine Bureau officers were met by a Good Samaritan who had helped get both adult males out of the water.
The jet skiers were transported back to the Treasure Island Marina where a Nassau police ambulance was waiting.
The operator was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in stable condition, police say.
The passenger refused medical attention.
