Fire and ice usually don’t mix. Luckily, this wasn’t the case in Newark this month as a group of New Jersey firefighters played a charity hockey game.
It was Newark versus Elizabeth at the Prudential Center last Saturday.
The Newark crew won the game – but the real winner was the burn center at Cooperman Barnabas Hospital in Livingston.
Tickets cost $10 at the door. The game raised over $5,000 for the hospital.
