An agreement is in place in the case of a Center Moriches boy who froze to death in his garage.

Thomas Valva’s mother will get $9 million in a wrongful death settlement with Suffolk County and Child Protective Services.

Valva died of hypothermia in the freezing garage while in his father’s custody in 2020.

Thomas’ father Michael Valva and his former fiancée are now serving 25-years-to-life in prison for his murder.

The settlement still needs to be ruled on by the judge overseeing the case, otherwise, it could go to trial.
