A 14-year-old boy riding an e-bike was struck by a vehicle in Bethpage on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
Officers responded to westbound Sherman Avenue and 7th Street at approximately 3 p.m., according to Nassau County police.
The teen was struck by a 2014 Dodge being driven by a 17-year-old girl traveling southbound on Seventh Street.
The 14-year-old suffered severe body trauma and was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition.
The 17-year-old remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
