A teen has been arrested during a traffic stop in Nassau County Tuesday night.
While on patrol in Hewlett, Strategic Response Team officers conducted a Vehicle Traffic Law investigation on a gray 2011 Infiniti sedan.
Following an investigation, Jair Perry, 19, of Hempstead, was found to have a loaded firearm in the vehicle, Nassau police say.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Peninsula Boulevard in the vicinity of Franklin Avenue.
Detectives were able to arrest Perry without incident.
He will face charges of criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and multiple vehicle and traffic violations when he is arraigned on Wednesday.
