A 33-year-old Bronx motorcyclist had to be airlifted to the hospital on Saturday after striking a parked Jeep.
Suffolk County police say that Ricki Mendoz was riding his Yamaha 950 southbound on Hollo Drive when he lost control and crashed into a Jeep parked on the northbound shoulder.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. and after Alvarado had to be airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
