An East End kayaker was located in the Long Island Sound on Sunday afternoon.

Southold Town Police received the report around 3 p.m. for a person who had become separated from his party in the waters in Greenport.

Officers deployed the department’s drone and were able to find the missing boater.

Marine units were able to reach the man and safely brought him to shore where he was reunited him with his group, police say.

The Greenport Fire Department also responded to assist with the search.

No one was hurt.
