A man is accused of driving drunk after a multivehicle crash in Suffolk County Monday night.
Muhammad Adrees, 56, of Valley Stream, was driving a 2010 Lexus SUV when he rear-ended a 2011 Toyota sedan, police say.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. as the Lexus was travelling southbound on North Wellwood Avenue, approaching Perry Street, in Lindenhurst.
Impact from the original collision caused the Toyota to hit into the back of a 2008 Chevrolet sedan, according to Suffolk police.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
Adrees was taken into custody and will be charged with DWI at his arraignment on Tuesday.
