A man and woman were arrested for drug possession during a traffic stop in Uniondale late Tuesday night.

Nassau police Strategic Response Team officers were on intensified patrol around 11 p.m. in the vicinity of Stewart Avenue and Merchants Concourse.

During the enforcement detail, Antony Perry, 58, of Brooklyn, and Lashana Wright, 46, of Hempstead, were found driving with a substance believed to be crack cocaine, police say.

Both individuals were charged with criminal possession of controlled substance at their arraignment on Wednesday in Nassau County Court.

Perry faces an additional charge of aggravated unlicensed operation.
