A Toms River police officer accused of breaking into a home and assaulting two people inside has been released from the Ocean County Jail.
A judge says that Rebecca Sayegh will be allowed to go to an inpatient mental health facility while she awaits trial.
Sayegh was arrested last week for allegedly breaking into a Berkeley Township home and attacking two people inside. Police called it a domestic situation.
Sayegh was off duty at the time. She was charged with home invasion burglary, assault and resisting arrest.
