A fire on Friday afternoon left a Shelton home uninhabitable, fire officials say.
It happened at 3:46 p.m. on Waverly Road. Crews found heavy fire conditions in the ceiling on the first floor and zero visibility in the attic.
The fire was put out in 20 minutes, but crews remained to look for hotspots. A hole in the roof was cut to vent out the heat and smoke.
No one was injured. It's not clear what caused the fire.
