Thousands of people have been inconvenienced after consistent delays and cancellations at Newark Liberty International.
Day 9 is looking like it will be a challenging one for travels, especially with this morning's fog.
The FAA released a statement Monday saying the antiquated air traffic control system is effecting their workforce.
They say the frequent equipment and telecommunications outages can be stressful for controllers.

"Some controllers at the Philadelphia TRACON who work Newark arrivals and departures have taken time off to recover from the stress of multiple recent outages," the FAA said in a statement.
The FAA says when there's staffing or equipment issues, they intentionally slow the rate of arrivals into the airport to keep everyone safe.
Along those same lines, United CEO Scott Kirby says they cancelled 35 roundtrip flights from Newark per day to protect customers and there is no way to resolve the near-term structural FAA staffing issues.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy last week announced new incentives for staff and expected to announce a plan to build an all-new air traffic control system this week.
